October 11 is the International Day of Girls. It is marked by the UN proposal to protect girls' rights. The day was first celebrated in 2012 and the goal was to invite the international community to focus on the issues facing girls around the world.

Early marriage and childbirth, deprivation of education, forced marriages, victims of trafficking, and so on.

Statistics show that almost every third 20-24 year old woman has been married for the first time at age 18. One third of them are married sooner than 15 years of age.

The International Day for Girls was originally intended to draw public attention to the problem of premature marriages. Within the framework of the day, governments of different countries have been offered joint actions with representatives of civil society and international community to end the destructive practice of child marriage.
