Traditional mulberry festival to be held in Goris, Armenia on July 6

The traditional mulberry festival will be held on July 6 in the village of Karahunj, located 4 km from the city of Goris.

The community has beautiful silk gardens, where good opportunities for organizing a mulberry holiday have been created.

The start of the festival will be given by the ceremony of gathering fruits from mulberry trees. Within the framework of the festival, local residents of the surrounding communities, craftsmen, masters of manual labor will present their products, handicrafts, traditional dishes, mulberry vodka, , doshab, jam, dried fruits.

The events will be accompanied by traditional Armenian songs and dances. During the festival, the whole process of distillation of mulberry vodka will be presented, pita bread and gata will be baked on the spot.
