EEU and Iran to switch to implementation of trade on favorable terms from October

Chairman of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Mehdi Sanai on August 28 during a meeting in the EEC discussed the completion of the procedures necessary for the entry into force of the interim agreement forming the free trade zone between the EAEU and Iran.

According to ITAR-TASS, according to the agreement, from October 27, 2019, the Interim Free Trade Agreement will begin to operate.

During the meeting, sides agreed to continue close cooperation, including in the direction of implementation of the Agreement. In addition, in the format of the business dialogue, a dialogue has also begun on deepening cooperation between customs services, as a result of which it is also planned to conclude an agreement.
