Electric power supply in Armenia fully restored: Ministry of Internal Affairs

The situation in the electricity sector has stabilized. According to the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, voltage fluctuations no longer continue.

"Yerevan Thermal Power Plant and the 5th power unit of the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant are connected to the network. Power supply to all consumers has been restored," the message says.

On Wednesday afternoon, power outages began throughout Yerevan and in several regions of Armenia. The Yerevan Thermal Power Plant and the 5th power unit of the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant were disconnected from the network. Power surges occurred in many administrative districts of the capital, water supply was also disrupted, payment terminals did not work, and traffic was hampered on the streets. The work of the Yerevan metro was suspended.
