Haghartsin Week: Living and making our heritage alive

The spiritual-cultural Week of Haghartsin Monastery will take place on August 12-18 this year.


This event is aimed to showcase the Haghartsin Monastery's (X-XIII AD) rich spiritual legacy, its special role in Armenian history and culture and its present mission. The Week is fully organized by young volunteers from Tavush and all over Armenia.


The Haghartsin Week is a 7-day-and-night long celebration that will take place in the premises of the Haghartsin monastery and will embrace a series of cultural-educational and entertaining events such as open air master classes on national arts, traditional gata-baking and sweet-making demonstrations, national Armenian dance lessons, spiritual music concerts.


Special days are dedicated to children and Armenian army.


To enhance your spiritual experiences the week will be complemented by services, liturgies and spiritual talks.


For a week the Haghartsin Monastery will become a living city of love where everyone is welcome to be a part of its big family.
