Turkish Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gul said his country would take all legal measures to extradite FETO leader Fethullah Gulen, Anadolu Ajansi said on January 16.

“We believe that the extradition will take place. This is bound to happen. If you respect the law, then you must do it. So far we have not achieved results in this matter, but we will take all legal measures, ”Gul said.

Religious preacher Fethullah Gulen, who heads the FETO organization, is accused by Ankara of attempting a coup d'état. He is currently hiding in the US.

As REGNUM reported earlier, in July 2016, an attempted military coup occurred in Turkey, with the suppression of which killed 251 people, 2 thousand 200 people were injured. Gülen denied the accusations, condemning the coup.
