“Prospects for nuclear industry development in Armenia” panel discussion kicked off in Yerevan

On March 20, a panel discussion entitled “Prospects for the Development of the Nuclear Industry in Armenia” opened in Yerevan.

The panel discussion is organized by the Rosatom-Eastern Europe Company (part of the Rosatom State Corporation) and the Armenian Research Institute for the Operation of Nuclear Power Plants (Armatom National Research Institute).

At the event, experts will discuss the current state of nuclear energy in Armenia and its development, the prospects for building a new NPP and the possibility of applying the best world experience in managing spent nuclear fuel.

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia, the State Nuclear Security Committee under the Government of Armenia, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, the Research Institute of Energy, the Union of Nuclear Veterans of Armenia, the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, NGOs and other industry experts, as well as scientists will take part in the discussions.
